If you're reading this article, you're probably wondering why so many people who click on your chatbot seem to drop off part way through.
This is extremely common, and is to be expected. On average, only about 12-20% of people who start the bot will finish it.
There are three main reasons this might happen:
1. They’re “curiously” clicking.
Think of all the times you've clicked on an ad because you're mildly interested. Once the page requires you to submit your contact information, or you decide you're no longer interested, you exit the page.
With a chatbot, we have the benefit (and curse, at times) of visually seeing every single person that clicks on the bot. Even more level of drop off happens with websites and landing pages, but we can't see it happening.
2. They’re cold leads going through the bot and they may not have been thinking about getting braces or Invisalign and so they’re on the fence and not committed just yet.
The bot is there to qualify leads as potential patients, not just generate (unqualified) leads!
3. They’re expecting a total price
This happens most often when prospects see the down and monthly payment options in the calculator. Some will ask "what is the full price?" at which point, your follow up manager will take over answering that question and attempt to schedule the lead.
What can we do?
Depending on your local market, the chatbot can perform incredibly well, or not as well. If there is too much drop off happening (you're generating less than 4 leads per week consistently), we can tweak parts of the chatbot, including:
• Extra questions that may have been added
• Scheduling preference questions
If this doesn't work, if people simply aren't clicking in the first place, or your market has "banner blindness" (they have seen the ad too much) Adzenyth will launch a separate campaign that may work better for your area. If we haven't contacted you already, simply email info@adzenyth.com referencing this article and requesting a different campaign, and we will set it up for you.
